This project comprises the complete refurbishment of the administration building on the Cherry Orchard Hospital Campus, Ballyfermot. The project comprised 2 phases:
This phase included for the complete upgrade to the main electricity centre serving the building which was originally installed at the time the hospital was constructed in 1953. A new form 4 floor mounted, factory built, main electrical distribution was installed to replace the existing switchgear and all of the old lead insulted cabling was replaced. As part of the phase 1 works the main Comms room (which serves the entire campus) was also upgraded to include the provision of a primary UPS and a duty / standby weekly rotate air-conditioning system.
This phase of the works comprises the complete upgrade and refurbishment of the administration building itself to include new heating, heat recovery ventilation, new lighting and general electrical services, new fire alarm and access control and a new CAT6 LAN network. Phase 2 of the development also includes for new AV systems to the main Lecture theatre and the main conference room including the facility for video conferencing.
